What day is it?

I thought today was Tuesday.  We found out it was National Burrito day and then I kept associating that with Taco Tuesday so I thought it was Tuesday all day.

Today was fairly uneventful.  Riley had several Zoom calls.  She's getting tired of those.  She's doing her best to stay on top of her work despite not being excited about doing it.  It can be hard to focus on school work when you're home and it just feels so totally different.  Most of her time is spent in front of a computer screen and I'm trying to figure out how to get her time away from that for her sanity and to give her time to be outside.  With the distance in time between classes it's been challenging.  She'll have a Zoom call and then 30 minutes until another one.  Then lunch and another Zoom call and work to get completed.  And then with my Zoom class calls at different times in the afternoon we haven't quite figured it out.

Julia's knees are still sore, but we did manage a game of Juliaball upstairs with the balloons.  We had some good laughs.  She is continuing to make a list of assignments given to her in a hyperdoc.  She tells me that she'll just go down the list to get her work done and then she does exactly that.  She's finding ways to get up and move more, but she's not tied down to a computer all day with Zoom calls.  She has a Zoom call at 11:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Sure do love being with our girls!  Overall they've handled this like rockstars.

Once Dr. McLeod sent out the email to all families about the extended online learning through May 4 I shared the information with the girls.  They're disappointed and keep saying 'Thanks China.'  With Riley's birthday in early May we'll be planning a Quaran'teen' birthday for her.  Looking online for ideas so that it's not a copy of Julia's birthday... want to be sure it's special for her as much as we can make it that way, anyway.
