Julia's First Overnight COE Trip

This past Tuesday Julia went with her class on their first overnight COE (Classroom of the Earth) trip.  It's wild to think that this trip was the first one that Riley did when we came to GSES.  So crazy to think that so much time has gone by.

I should know where the COE trip was located, but all I know is that it was about 10 minutes from the Oklahoma border.  Julia was prepared and packed everything herself.  The Sunday before the trip she had written out the entire packing list and brought it with her in the car on the way to church so that we could go item by item and see what we had left to purchase.  I'd kept as many of Riley's COE clothing and accessory items as possible so we only needed a new hat/gloves and a flashlight with batteries.  I bought a new flashlight not realizing that all we needed were actually new batteries.  Jeremy brought the batteries home and now we'll take the new flashlight back because it wasn't needed.

Julia was excited to pack her onesie.  It's grey with some kind of animal print on it and super soft!  They slept in a large room on the floor in sleeping bags.  Looked like super hard ground to sleep on but apparently she slept just fine.  They explored different animal's skins and what they felt like.  She pet a bobcat fur and thankfully she had no allergic reactions.  After she found out what it was she chose not to pet any of the other furs.

She came home thoroughly exhausted, but had a great time.  Love that the girls get to go on these incredible trips for COE.
