American Patriotic Program at LMA

It was one of the most gorgeous nights we have had so far this Spring!  Riley's school does a patriotic singalong and hosts it outside on their back lawn that overlooks Lake Lewisville.  So beautiful!  All the parents and their little kids gathered outside on blankets and folding chairs to watch each class perform two songs.

Riley is singing "This Land is Your Land" and "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy."  She was sooo excited as she went skipping down the hallway to her classroom, showing us where everything was.  The rest of us went outside on our blankets and chatted until it started.  Then giggled and smiled at all the cute little kids performing.  I always love to see and hear the over-singers who are loud and out of tune and watch the really great kids.

Riley was the leader of her class.  As soon as she got out on the stage area, she saw us and started laughing.  And couldn't stop.  Just kept laughing and laughing and laughing.  Which made her cry a little.  (thinking she was nervous seeing all those parents and kids in front of her and so close to her)  But then a little ways into the song, she started to sing and did every motion.  And sang every word.  She did a great, great job!!!
