2019 Goals

Happy New Year!  Here are the goals I'm working towards this year.

2019 Goals

1.  Publish one episode each week on the Afternoon Ti podcast from January-June and August-December (taking the month of July off)
It was really exciting to get the Afternoon Ti Podcast launched in December and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

2.  Complete Kodaly Level III at SMU
Finished Kodaly II last summer and want to complete all of the training this summer.

3.  Incorporate more movement into my classes at school - at least two classes out of every four classes in each six day rotation in 5th and 6th grade
I can find a million reasons as to why adding movement is hard with middle school students, but I love movement and it's such a great resource... definitely want to add more in each lesson.

4.  Present a workshop at GSES and one other location
Already have an upcoming workshop at our school scheduled.  Hoping to present to other teachers.

5.  Date night once a month with Jeremy
6.  Invite friends or family over once a month for dinner or lunch
7.  Read, Read, Read -- continue to read books that I love and keep track of them on goodreads.com

8.  Be more consistent in talking at least every other week with Jeremy about our budget while using the budgeting software
9.  Replace all hand towels and washcloths that have holes
Already halfway there on January 1st!  My mom ordered new hand towels for us and they've already arrived.  Now to get new washcloths.

10.  Buy a new iPad case
My four year old case is worn out and I'd love a new one.

11.  Add weight training to workouts - at least 2x a week for 10 minutes each time
Being that I'm officially in my 40s, I feel like I need to add more weight training - not just to tone my arms, but to help with strength too

12.   Build up to running 3 miles again and run 500 miles this year... Hoping to do more runs with Riley
Had built up to running 3 miles, but not as consistent as I wanted.  Then I got the flu in November which kicked my tail.  Hoping to be able to build up...again.

13.  Continue to purchase less clothing items and only ones that fit well and that I love... trying Trunk Club for the first time soon and can't wait to see what that's like

14. Continue to locate Jim and make a plan to find him/get him help... and continue to pray every day for him and my cousin Hilary
We continued to pray for both Hilary and Jim - trusting that God is in control.  There are some actual things that we can do to reach out to him.  May result in more heartbreak and sadness, but worth trying if it means he might turn his life around.

15.  Use my Simplified Planner by Emily Ley - so excited to try it out this year!

16.  Continue to meet up with the moms from Riley's small group to build friendships and support for
our girls once a month

17.  Call or FaceTime Jon and Allison at least once a week

18.  Go to the dermatologist

19.  .... To be determined...
