First Ice-Snow of 2022 and Val's Not Having It

 School was cancelled for today and tomorrow due to the amount of ice and sleet we were supposed to get.  And it was delivered.  Literally the sidewalks and roads are covered in pure ice and sleet is coming down at a decent pace for hours.  

Val isn't a huge fan of the cold.  He's quick to do what needs to be done outside before coming in to the warmth.  This morning he pawed at the door to tell me that he needed to go out.  He sniffed around the covered back patio and walked near the outdoor table.  Stood near where he'd usually walk out onto the grass, but instead just sniffed in the air and turned back toward the covered patio area. 

Then he looked to the other side where it appears there's no snow and he tried to go out to do his business that way.  He managed to step just a few times onto the snow and ice mixture on the porch before darting quickly around and running back into the house.  Without doing what needed to be done.

Dried his paws off and waited for a bit before taking him out for a walk.
